Prerequisites to become a DJ for Blade Radio:
- 18 years of age or older
- Long term interest in being a DJ
- A computer capable of running multiple applications smoothly
- Learn quickly
- Working Microphone
- Working Headphones/Speakers
- MINIMUM 450kbps (Kilobits Per Second) UPLOAD Speed
(Please use http://www.speedtest.net to test your connection)
- A reasonable amount of spare time
- Have a minimum of 2500 Mp3s
(Music will not be provided in most instances unless its by agreement of the record label)
- Ventrilo
- IRC Client (such as mIRC)
- DJ Software (This will be provided)

Expectations:
-Provide content based on the target audience. Including, but not limited to:
Discussion topics, events, event promotion, news, and competitions with direct relevance to the station.
-Be committed to be available every week for the time slot agreed upon
-Have a respectable level of quality; not only from correctly labeled, good quality songs, but also from your mic breaks and your show as a whole
-Have a clear and undistorted mic.
If possible, purchase or construct a Pop Screen to go with your microphone.
-A lot of time is often spent during the testing process configuring the microphone; have it configured as best as possible before testing

How to Apply:
-Click the "DJ Schedule" on the left of your screen.
-Determine if you can fill any of the "A-DJ" 3-hour time slots.
If accepted, be available during this time as this will be your slot every week.
-If you can fill one of the "A-DJ" slots, meet all the prerequisites, and agree to the expectations, Click the "Apply" button below.

Completing the application:
Please note that the quality of the information provided will dictate whether or not we'd like to pursue contacting you. An application that says something similar to "I AM a 1337 gamer and want to DJ fer Bladeio" will be immediately discarded. Please take the time to use correct grammar and punctuation so that it is easier to read.

Know that applicants are interviewed in order of application arrival. Successful applicants will be contacted by the Recruitment Team. Please state your PREFERRED time slot first, followed by your other choices in order of preference.

Expect the time between submitting your application and being contacted to be between 2-4 weeks as there are a large number of applications to go through at any given time.
