Solid State Drives are one of the area’s in which the public has been clamoring for more and more information and space besides the obvious speed factors.  I recently had the pleasure and yes I do mean Pleasure to review the Western Digital SSC-D0064SC-2100 SILICONEDGE BLUE, 2.5", SATA, 64GB.  I found the installation quite easy and the physical size of the drive is absolutely amazing by comparison of theconventional sata or pata drives.

 

The speed is absolutely phenomenal, as In my case I used the drive for my music which was about 35 gigs and it normally would take a few seconds to open but once I transferred my music to the SSD opening it up to select music now is a instantaneous affair.

 

Moderately priced by comparison I feel Western Digital has hit the mark with the Solid State Drive revolution.  Ideal solutions or uses for this size drive vary but I strongly suggest a larger drive if you intend to utilize the drive for your operating system as they tend to require large amounts of space.

 

In today’s market especially for gamers these drives are sure to only increase the games performance and the end users experience and performance.

 

So if you are looking for a replacement drive or to increase your computers performance SSD’s are definitely the way to go!
